The first project took place on seven acres of land in Monon, Indiana. The Keeley team was responsible for and self-performed all civil work and foundations associated with the project. The project began with earthwork to raise the BESS pad to the proposed elevation, requiring over 17,000 CY of imported fill material. Following sitework, 560 driven H-Pile and 560 Pile Caps were installed with extremely tight tolerances, presenting a unique set of challenges. However, at the beginning of the project, Keeley developed innovative solutions to these tight tolerances, allowing for successful installation. Finally, 18 concrete pad foundations, yard rocking, seeding & strawing, and drainage work needed to be completed before final hand-off to the client. This project was completed under an incredibly tight schedule. Keeley was able to make up time due to delays by driving as many as 100 W8x31 H-Piles per day. This quick response and flexibility allowed the work to be completed on time to the full satisfaction of the client.
