There is nothing more important than returning our team members home safely to their families every single day.
Not only do we have a world-class Safety Program, but we pride ourselves on our Safety Culture with the universal belief that ZERO unsafe acts is not only possible but sustainable. Keeley Construction has an excellent historical safety record, and we strive for continuous improvement every day. On all of our projects, Keeley hosts daily safety meetings for the team members on the jobsite. The focus of these meetings is to review topics pertinent to work in the field but, more importantly, to keep safety at the forefront of our team members’ minds. Our Safety Leadership Team conducts regular in-person and virtual jobsite assessments to ensure the best safety practices are implemented and followed.
Nothing we do is more important than returning every Keeley’n, client, subcontractor, and community member home safely every day. Our Safety Team drives the belief that at our CORE, our Purpose is Keeping People Safe. This means ZERO unsafe acts including recordable injuries, preventable motor vehicle incidents (PMVI), and preventable utility hits (PUH). Not only do we believe ZERO is possible, but we know that ZERO unsafe acts are sustainable through our incredible safety culture lived out by every Keeley’n.
Collaboration between craftspeople, project members, site supervision, safety team members, and leadership is essential to identifying and mitigating potential hazards. By doing this, team members can be assured that the top priority is keeping people safe.
Safety requires a shared sense of ownership and responsibility among all stakeholders to prioritize safety at every stage of a project. Every team member should be empowered to take ownership in ensuring safety is top of mind and everyone goes home safe.
Relationships are a key component to any type of success – and safety is no exception. Developing and fostering relationships is crucial to promoting a culture of safety that ensures everyone has the tools and resources they need to stay safe, every single day.
With ongoing projects across a variety of groups and services nationwide, providing comprehensive safety education and training to all team members is essential to ensuring people have the knowledge needed to keep themselves and each other safe.
Keeley Construction has an intense focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. We have a team of highly trained professionals dedicated to providing our clients with the best construction services. Our commitment to safety is reflected in our industry-leading low TRIR and EMR scores.
Education is an essential component of KeeleySafe and construction safety. Our Keeley’ns must remain knowledgeable about the potential hazards of their job and how to safely use tools and operate equipment. Leadership & Management must enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring they are communicated effectively and understood by all team members and partners. We are proud of our safety education program, powered by KeeleyU, that provides proper education and resources to help prevent accidents by promoting a culture of safety where our people are encourage to speak up and identify potential hazards. Some of our education methods and opportunities include in-person training such as OSHA-10, OSHA-30, First-Aid/CPR Classes, monthly safety meetings, virtual learning opportunities through our LMS powered by Maryville University, and more.
At Keeley, we are dedicated to achieving and sustaining ZERO unsafe acts through our comprehensive safety culture. We celebrate Good Catches weekly, recognizing Keeley'ns who identify and report potential hazards before accidents occur, allowing us to take corrective action promptly. Our Safety Assessments and Task Safety Reviews (TSR) ensure that risks are systematically evaluated and managed. Job Safety Analyses (JSA) help us anticipate and address specific risks associated with tasks, while Keeley Best Operating Practices (KBOP) establish our safety guidelines. Additionally, Job Execution Teams (JETs) ensure that safety protocols are followed in every task. Together, these practices reinforce our commitment to a proactive and sustainable safety culture.
