The team consistently interacts with more than just their external clients, they work with other Keeley’ns, subcontractors, and partners. Every party involved has to be approached differently and by working with a wide variety of people and their needs, the team has been able to maintain relationships, exceed expectations, and communicate effectively for mutual success.
2022 brought a lot of learning and a lot of accomplishments, including hiring Brian Peter, VP of Building, to take over the group and help the team achieve their vision for the future. 2022 also marked the completion of Marlowe, Keeley Construction’s first significant multifamily project in partnership with Keeley Properties. ​Marlowe is a ground-up multifamily residential development in the desirable Central West End neighborhood at 4545 Laclede Avenue, offering walkability, vibrant 18-hour density, and proximity to major employment centers. The architecture is a classical approach to an urban solution, a seven-story building designed to house 205 micro, studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments with two-levels of attached garage parking. Community amenities include a courtyard with pool and sun deck, grilling patio, lawn and golf green, club room, speakeasy, flex office mezzanine with collaboration and individual work spaces, and a fully equipped fitness studio.
Many other projects broke ground and were underway in 2022 – Olive Crossing, Schnucks, and Stellar Manufacturing.
Keeley Construction, in partnership with Keeley Properties, is currently working on the redevelopment of a critical corner fronting Olive and I-170. Olive Crossing will redefine the pathway from the airport into St. Louis' urban core. The dynamic environment features over 180,000 square feet of Class A office space, a 181-unit multifamily residential building, and several local, regional and national food concepts assembled to create a culinary experience unrivaled in the area. Retail spaces include accessible and attractive outdoor dining, high ceilings with extended glass frontage, and ample easy parking. The development boasts distinctive architecture and courtyard amenities with seating, water features, greenery, and artwork programmed throughout.
Keeley Building is proud to have a strong partnership with Schnucks and completed 8-10 new builds and renovations in Missouri and Indiana. These projects led to repeat business in 2023, with a current project underway in Chesterfield, MO. The team’s history of supermarket construction and relationships with subcontractors helped them put together an aggressive completion schedule, self-performing partial interior demolition, and all concrete work. Project completion is scheduled for January 2023, bringing a new supermarket concept to the Chesterfield community.
Currently in the design and preconstruction phase, Keeley Building will begin work on a 100,000 SF warehouse expansion for Stellar Manufacturing in Sauget, IL. Keeley Industrial has a strong, long-lasting relationship with Stellar Manufacturing, but this is the Building Group’s first project with them. The Power of One between Building and Industrial continues to pave a path of growth, exceeding expectations, and customer service.
Several new key Keeley’ns were added to the team in 2022 and everyone that has joined the family in the last year has brought a different type of experience. This variety of skillsets and experience has only allowed the team to grow into the team they know they can be because of the expanded knowledge and communication. Everyone collaborates at a high level, taking the best of everything and turning it into a better Keeley experience for team members and customers.
